M+D Comfortable Crutches

April 28, 2016

GIZMODO.COM M+D COMFORTABLE CRUTCHES Story

For a long time crutches have been unchanged in their over all design and universal discomfort in regards to people experience. These tools meant to help have been problematic in a work of constant motion and action. A new design called the M+D Crutch takes into account ergonomics and where weight is placed to improve comfort, mobility and movement. It moves where the weight is placed and allows the person to be hands free when needed. The product is not quite in product stages but it has a lot of promise to help millions.

SAMSUNG patents Contact lens for future of Augmented Reality

April 10, 2016

IFLscience.com Augmented reality smart lens story

In the race to increase how interconnected we are with technology, Samsung like Google has patented a product of eyewear... well eyeball wear. This product is not necessarily a guarantee of something that will be built. It just further illustrates the leaps and direction that AR could have.  It's an exciting future of interaction design and overall user experience in how we could possibly unlock multiple types of information and how people interact is incredible. The gage of human interest by following eye movement has been noted scientifically in the past and used for better more targeted marketing. This particular product from Samsung is more simplistic in terms of its purpose. Its meant to take pictures and send that information to a phone, but with iterative development it is interesting to see where this technology goes if anywhere.
